The easy-to-reach on/off switch allows the counterbalance system to be disengaged or re-engaged for different filming setups. The 501HDV also features separate pan and tilt locks, gradual tilt friction adjustment system, flat base (with standard 3/8 thread), quick release camera plate and repositionable pan bar. The Manfrotto 547B Tripod features a 1 stage, twin-leg construction providing great rigidity. It is designed with aluminum legs, technopolymers and die castings to ensure added strength and stability.
