This Gitzo GT-531 Tripod features 3 section legs and G-Lock leg locks. Carbon Fiber tripods offer extreme lightness and durability and is Ideal for the photogrpaher on the go who is already carrying enough weight. The exclusive G-Lock feature of this tripod keeps the legs from spinning when tightening and loosening the leg locks making for quicker setups and take downs. The Carbon Fiber Construction also ensures a very rigid tripod that helps dampen movement unlike more flexible tripods. 3 position stops allow the legs to be used at different angles or to drop down to a very low position for ground level shooting. The center column is removeable to save weight and to allow the tripod to go even lower. A unique hook built in to the center column allows hanging of a weight to stabilize the tripod even more. Weighing in at 0.8lbs, this tripod will hold a maximum of 6.6lbs and extends from 11" to 26.4". This tripod replaces the Gitzo GT-530.
