Medium size, light, with quick release - perfect for amateur's and professionals. A new design, more ergonomic was designed to be in perfect harmony with the Manfrotto tripods "X" lines. But the main feature of this new ballhead is the precise control of the rotation of the ball thanks to a new system setting independent of the friction lock. You will obtain a movement of extreme flexibility. The locking lever rotation is indexed and then repositioned. Very compact but able to support a load of 8 kg, perfectly suited for DSLRs equipped with a zoom (medium)or with a medium size camera. The 055XPROB makes the famous Manfrotto-patented horizontal centre column feature even easier to use. By extending the column to its highest vertical position, it can be swung round to horizontal without removing the head or disassembling the column itself, so switching between framing and positioning setups is more convenient than ever. The ergonomics of the leg angle release mechanism and the quick action leg locks themselves have also been greatly improved. A very usefull kit.
