Ries Model C100S is one of our lightest tripods we make. C Series is the economical alternative for spotting scopes, 35mm, light-weight 4 x 5, and medium Format cameras, lights and sound equipment up to 16 pounds or 7.25 Kilograms. Each piece of RIES wood, The finest Eastern Hard Rock Maple, is shaped with fine-grain-finish papers, oiled, and sealed to protect the wood. All the metal hardware is custom machined of corrosion-resistant stainless steel, brass or alloys. This means you can use RIES in sand or salt water without damaging the tripod. Simply rinse it with fresh water and wipe it off afterward. RIES Tripods set up quickly. The legs are easily extended and then locked into place by a quick turn of a knob; no series of telescoping legs to screw and unscrew. The reversible inner leg offers the option of using rubber tips or spikes for stable support wherever you are. The camera screw, which mounts your camera or a head to the crown of the tripod, is available in 1/4-20 or 3/8-16 thread. And if you use both, they can be quickly and easily exchanged.
